You only find the indigenous plants called Fynbos in the Western Cape of South Africa. You won’t find them anywhere else in the world.

The awesome trait they have is that they need fire to spread their seeds. While all other plants perish, they spread to grow.

How God Works

Elohim [the Creator of all things], have articulated everything to His perfect design. Therefore He is in control of all things.

We think He causes misfortune but it is quite the opposite. He let it happen when it is kneeded ^[foreshadow] for something greater than you’ll ever think of.

How I Got On The Road Of Becoming A Missionary

I injured my knee back in 2017 but God only let the extent of how bad it is only be revealed in 2023. It was the meniscus, knee cap, and ACL to sum it up.

God used my injury 6 Years later to steer me into a different direction. The only thing is that I did not listen to Him at the time. I thought I was listening to Him but I was heading towards the wrong source instead to find fulfillment and guidance from Him. Learn how to hear from God!

The enemy is smart. Remember to follow the steps of using the true compass to hear God’s voice. That is why we have scripture to delve into.

The scripture is created for humanity, not for you, BUT, you are part of humanity and that is why it is not focused on you only and your life and problems. When I heard that, it made me realize that I was reading the Bible wrong for the majority of my life [19 years].

My belief and identity was crumbling because I was filling my life with the incorrect source and way. Even when I did do all the “Christian” things, I still ended up drifting. So why did I keep on drifting? Was it because I was more religious than relational with God?

Seeking autonomy and finance was my biggest downfall during my time in 2023 & 24. Filling the gap with a girl who has faith in God didn’t help either. No one can bring you closer to Jehovah Rapha [The Lord Your Healer] except yourself. A lot of the times it is us keeping ourselves from getting closer to God. The enemy just loves to take advantage of you.

I opened myself up to the wrong things. That made me vulnerable. Especially when you go through life without putting the armor of God daily. I still need to remind myself to do that every day.

After some time of isolation during my surgery recovery period, I moved on to getting a job when I was fit to move around. Indirectly I still managed to end up being in isolation. I created unnecessary achievement status stress. I became unhappy where I worked due to all the mental strain I’ve been putting myself through.

My lifeline thread holding onto God during that time was a small Bible Study group with a podcast I started with my best friend…

Knock Me Back GOD

On Fathers Day, my dad wanted to go see the Logos Hope that is run by the OM ships. I had basically no idea about what it is but I had a feeling I was on the ship back in 2008.

We went there and this amazing thing happened. First it was not a great feeling not seeing the rest of the ship but God pressed hard on me to seek more than just the library section. I wanted to see more!

The way how God works with everyone is unique. If it is Your will God, let me see more. God showed me how much my family cares.

My older sister had exams running that time and she supported me by setting my desire [seeing more of the ship] above her studies. It was a two hour wait before I could go see more of the ship.

During that time I took part in the dancing activities with the Logos Hope members. That very moment while dancing is when I experienced complete peace. Peace so great, I had no worries about what I want or whatever I was worried about before that moment. It was a complete surrender to God. I decided that moment I want to follow Him.

That peace is when I experienced Jehovah Shalom [The Lord is Peace]. That made me decide I want to surrender everything I have over to Him.

17:00 came along and I got to see more of the ship. Below is the quick pic I took of the view from the ship’s deck before getting off.

This very ship [the Logos Hope] is what got me to come to REACH where I currently am at the time of writing.

The only thing I could hear and still believe is “God will only speak to you when you are moving” which means you have to take action. Sitting in idle, waiting for Him to say something to you won’t come. How can he give you directions if you don’t change your location. You have to move in order to grow.

He guided me with the applications and everything for REACH because I only had to take the next step and He will open up the vision for the next step.

In today’s world we have less faith than we think we need. The world is trying to create disbelief and less faith because “the world is taking care of us” due to the consuming culture that surrounds us.

We can take control of our own lives because the “world” has our back, and that has created the consuming culture. That is the biggest lie I believed in. Hustle culture is part of that worldview. It drifts us away from our Loving God.

We can’t move mountains because we lack the faith.
